PEELER (RUMBLER) REPAIR KITS

If you use a Rumbler, there's a Pegasus Kit designed to keep the gritted peeling surfaces of your equipment in peak condition at all times. They're designed for the waste-free repair of a worn patch, a base plate, or a full Rumbler, as required. A Pegasus Kit means one less expensive servicing problem.
       

WHY SHOULD I USE A PEGASUS KIT?
  • Kits use MiniMixes - small, accurate, easy to make mixes, avoiding waste even for small patches.
  • Kits contain enough material for a full Rumbler - you choose to patch or fully recoat, as required.
  • Unused material keeps until the next job. Kits have been successfully re-used for many years.
  • Badly worn base plate 'humps' can be built up & shaped for extra strength, as required.
  • Coatings last at least a year, usually three or four if well applied, before minor, repairable wear occurs.
  • Kits are self contained, easy to use & make Rumbler repairs part of normal maintenance schedule.
  • Repairs are completed within 24 hours, just peel extra potatoes the day before.
  • Preparation is not difficult. Take parts to a local shot-blasting company (best). Use an angle-grinder (borrow or ask local garage) (next best). Use a drill with abrasive disc or wheel or a wire brush.

HOW DO I USE IT?
  1. Clean Rumbler parts. Prepare surface for coating by shot blaster, angle grinder or drill.
  2. Mix Bonding Agent & Hardener and add Thickener. (All by Measures) Brush on evenly.
  3. Where build-up is required (e.g. base plate 'humps') add grit & use trowel or spreader to shape.
  4. Apply Ceramic Grit. Ensure evenness.
  5. Cure. Approx 4 hr at 20 ºC+ to 16 hr at 5 ºC. Placing in warm area speeds curing.
  6. Back in use.

WHICH KIT DO I NEED?

(1) Small Rumblers (28lb) need the Small Rumbler Kit RUM/11.
(2) Large Rumblers (56lb) need the Large Rumbler Kit RUM/12.

The Small Kits are supplied with medium Ceramic Grit for normal peeling speed. Large Kits are supplied with Coarse Ceramic Grit for higher peeling speed. Please specify any change required.
