ANTI-SLIP PRODUCTS - NO-SLIP RANGE

Pegasus NO-SLIP Kits let the user apply safe, anti-slip surfaces to slippery, unsafe areas. Metal, wood, concrete, brick etc...no problem! Our ONECOAT No-Slip kit keeps downtime to a minimum and is still simple to use. Conditions of use can vary widely, from Bare Feet to Boots & Tyres on heavy oil contamination. NO-SLIP cures down to below 5ºC - it just takes a bit longer - usually overnight.

This Datasheet shows how to choose the correct kit. Surface texture can be widely adjusted by correct choice & application density of Grit. Rough, cold, absorbent surfaces use much more material than smooth, warm ones. We're always available in more difficult cases to discuss requirements and correct choice of kit, to ensure that the surface finish is just right.

WHY SHOULD I USE A PEGASUS NO-SLIP KIT?
  • NO-SLIP produces a hard wearing, long lasting, slip-resistant surface, even under oil & grease spills.
  • NO-SLIP can be used on most surfaces, including some existing coatings, with correct preparation.
  • NO-SLIP uses MiniMixes - small accurate, easy to make mixes, avoiding waste, even for small areas.
  • NO-SLIP unused material keeps for at least a year, usually several, allowing use as & when needed.
  • NO-SLIP surface texture can be easily adjusted, to allow one kit to handle several very different jobs.
  • NO-SLIP Kits can have larger sizes of MiniMix Measures & different sizes of grit included for even more applications.
  • NO-SLIP Kits are self-contained, easy to use, & fit into the normal planned maintenance schedule.
  • NO-SLIP is available in a wide range of ONECOAT (4-7hr) Kits.
  • NO-SLIP is still available in STANDARD (Two Coat) Kits.
  • NO-SLIP is applied by brush or by roller for bigger areas, & can be 'built up' for areas of severe usage.
  • NO-SLIP can be selectively over painted or sprayed to provide, for example, Hazard Lines.
  • We design & make all our kits so who better for technical backup? Just call Pegasus!
WHERE IS NO-SLIP USED AT PRESENT?

Wooden steps & walkways; Stair nosings; Ramps; Loading bays; Metal mezanine floors; Worn metal 'chequer' plate (e.g. steps, fire escapes, tail-lifts); Surfaces which become oily, or slippery when wet; Areas & steps on or around large machines where access is required; Areas where improved disabled access is needed; Motor Cycle garages to make MOT Brake Testing areas; On decks & tailgates of vehicles which
become wet & slippery in use, e.g. car transporters, removal vans and where pallet-movers are used.

PLEASE USE THESE NOTES IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE TABLE

  1. Examples of surfaces classified as 'smooth', 'medium', 'rough' (above):
  1. Smooth - smooth, non porous surfaces, mainly metals.
  2. Medium - fairly smooth, slightly porous surfaces e.g. planed timber.
  3. Rough - trowelled concrete.
(Rougher or pitted surfaces can use larger quantities. Smoothing out first with our Concrete Filler will reduce cost. This can be incorporated into the kit.)
  1. Coarse grit will slightly reduce the areas given in the above table for standard kits.
  2. Typical coverage's (above) apply between 60 & 700F (16-200C), & can only be used as a guide. As the temperature drops materials thicken. Areas coated will fall unless precautions are taken, e.g. warming chemicals and surfaces.
  3. Coverage and brush ability of 'ONECOAT' can be partially adjusted for temperature by modifying the thickener level.
  4. Pre-coated plates are supplied drilled and countersunk ready for bolting or screwing into position. Special sizes can be made to order.
  5. Please ask for different Colours & Special or Modified products for non-standard uses. We try to help!
